Fun Cooking Project with Kids: Halloween Cookies

Last year, we volunteered to make cookies to the kids. The girls helped me decorating with dried fruits & sunflower seeds

I made 3 different cookie doughs.
Lemony sugar cookie from Whole Foods recipe
Icebox cookies from Martha Stewart site
chocolate icebox cookies also from Martha Stewart

I rolled the dough into 2 inches diameter cylinder, and wrapped them in parchment paper, twist the end like candy.
When it was ready to bake, just slice the dough 1/4 inches thick, and lay them on parchment paper for the girls to decorate. It was a lot of fun and easy, faster than using cookie cuter.

We even made a princess cookie (shown in middle), and birthday cookie (she ate them before I could take a picture)
